Awasthi, who holds a BTech from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), worked as an engineer with BHEL from 2017 to 2019. She quit her work in 2019 to concentrate on her UPSC preparation after her first try at the test ended in failure. The 24-year-old attributes her astounding achievement in the IAS test to her parents, brother, and professors. She used to study for 8 to 10 hours per day. It was raised to 12-14 hours per day for the final two months leading up to the exam.

In Bhopal, India, Jagrati Awasthi was born into a middle-class family. Her mother, Madhulata Awasthi, was a school teacher who quit her work to assist Jagrati with her civil services test preparations. Her father, SC Awasthi, is a homoeopathic physician by profession. Suyash Awasthi, a second-year MBBS student, is the brother of Jagrati Awasthi. Suyash, Jagrati’s brother was her pillar of support while she studied for the UPSC test. He assisted her with nearly all of the issues she had during that time.

IAS Topper Jagriti Awasthi UPSC Journey

Jagriti actively used to participate in a variety of social activities, such as debate tournaments and public speaking events, in addition to her studies. After graduating from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology with an engineering degree, Jagrati took the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering in 2016 and passed it on the first try, earning an all-India ranking (Air) of 41. She also worked for Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited as a technical officer (BHEL). While employed there, Jagrati attempted to pass the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination for the first time but was unsuccessful due to her hectic schedule.

Later, she made the decision to pursue her childhood ambition of becoming an IAS officer and as a result, she resigned from her work to concentrate only on the UPSC test. Every UPSC applicant has to study a few things about her life and training period. Sociology was her elective course of study. The secret to Jagriti Awasthi’s success is hard work, as evidenced by her grade point average.

During the COVID scenario, this amazing civil servant practised at home before making the first attempt in 2019. She says that she has grown and learned via independent study. She has had the chance to make modifications and evaluate her performance. By focusing on their areas of weakness, those who self-analyze do better on exams. She feels overwhelmed and satisfied after realizing her goals. The path of IAS Jagriti has been amazing and difficult. She first administered this test in 2019.
