In July 2017, Rohini Sindhuri was appointed district commissioner of Hassan. Rohini was transferred in January 2018, just seven months after being named Hassan’s district collector (DC) in July 2017. Spandan, the state’s first internet grievance system was first introduced by Rohini on January 1, 2019.

In June 2021, Shilpa Nag and Rohini were both let go from their jobs after Shilpa claimed Rohini had humiliated her in a news conference. On the other side, Rohini accused Shilpa of neglecting her responsibilities.

Rohini Sindhuri responded to the accusations by taking a jibe at Roopa and stating that “mental illness is a serious issue that needs treatment. When individuals in positions of authority suffer from mental illness, the situation becomes even more dangerous. She has been waging a fake, personal vilification campaign against me, as is her usual tactic and has done it in every location she has worked, including the current one which is an ex-cadre post”. She also stated that the images Roopa shared were screenshots of social media posts and WhatsApp statuses that were wrongly used to “scandalise” her. IAS Rohini Sindhuri stated that she will take proper legal action against  Roopa.
