Ayush Sinha IAS Biography

Ayush Sinha was born and bought up in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, in 1992. Ayush did his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), in Goa. He also did a master’s degree in biological sciences as well. This was his third attempt at the UPSC exam, and he got AIR 7 in the whole nation. His optional subject was Anthropology.

Ayush got the AIR 100 on his second attempt in the year 2016 and got selected by the Indian Revenue Service (IRS). He was just two levels short of joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Ayush Sinha’s Family Background

Alka Verma, the officer’s mother, is from Dhanbad, Jharkhand and Pradeep Kumar Sinha, his father, is from Patna, Bihar.

Ayush’s entire family holds high-ranking jobs. His grandfather, SK Sinha, who was a Bihar cadre IAS officer. Some years ago, Sinha’s father, Pradeep Kumar Sinha, has retired from the position of Additional Principal Chief Conservator.

Alka Verma worked as an Associate Professor of Economics at St. Bedes, which is Shimla’s most prestigious college. Ayush also has a married sister. One of his uncles, Atul Verma is an ADGP in Himachal Pradesh. He worked as a deputation in Delhi.

P.K. Sinha was an Additional Principal Chief Conservator (APCC) of Forest in the Indian Forest Service (IFS). Atul Verma, the officer’s maternal uncle, was Himachal Pradesh’s assistant director-general of the police (law and order).

Ayush Sinha IAS Wife

Ayush married IAS Himadree Sinha. She is the only daughter of Rajiv Kaushik; he is the former Chief Engineer of the Rajpur Road Enclave. Also, she achieved AIR 97 in the Civil Service Examination, on her second attempt.

Himadree did not quit her favourite subject economics during both of the exams, whether it be her UPSC exams or her early life exams. She then also went to BITS Goa to complete her study in Chemical Engineering and MSc Economics.

She studied for the CSE but did not pass the exam at her first attempt. But she did not give up and worked extremely hard for her second attempt and eventually passed the Civil Services Examination.
