After completing her schooling in Delhi, she did her graduation in Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU). Later, for two years she also had done the work at Cisco, in Bangalore. After that, she started her preparation for the USC CSE examination.

After that, she left her job and chase after her dream of becoming an IAS, and she was able to secure AIR 6 in the 2019 UPSC exam. This was her third attempt, in which she scored a final total of 1046 out of 2025. She is an inspiration to those candidates who give up after their first or second attempt when they fail to clear the UPSC exam.

Vishakha was determined toward her goals, and this helps her to achieve her goal. For Vishakha Yadav IAS, her mother was building her motivation, she says that her mother has always been there for her. She also mentions that the late Indian President and the renowned Indian Scientist, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is her role model. Vishakha Yadav IAS Preparation Strategy

IAS Vishakha joined coaching after returning to Delhi from Bengaluru to prepare for the exams. She also mentioned that it was a must for her to join coaching because she was belonging to a technical background, and this was a complete change of stream for her.

Vishakha says that it is most important to keep in mind to plan a strategy for preparing for the UPSC exam and stick to it till the very end.

She also mentioned that one should set small targets rather than studying endlessly for hours, it is proved to be useful. This strategy helps in the improvement of her concentration and also helped in the management of time.
